One of the main goals I had in moving to Seattle was to contribute to supporting the growing tech community here. I started by helping to co-organize and launch House of Genius Seattle last October. Since that launch I’ve had the pleasure of watching it grow to two month backlog of people wanting to attend.
Now it’s time to launch Seattle Tech Meetup! I’ve enjoyed six years of attending the Boulder/ Denver New Tech monthly events and was thrilled when I found an aligned partner in Red Russak to bring this awesome event to Seattle. We’re very excited to organize the new signature event in Seattle that brings together everyone curious about new technology to learn, play and share together.
To ensure that the event is a success and honors all voices, we have connected with awesome community partners like GeekWire, StartupSeattle, Washington Technology Industry Association, Fresh Consulting, Northwest Entrepreneur Network, Founder Institute, Startup Weekend, and Seattle Angel Conference.
Five companies ranging from early stage startups to Fortune 100 corporations will display their new technologies in five minute presentations followed by five minutes of community interaction. Attendees can ask questions and companies can get direct feedback from an audience full of smart geeks excited to see the companies do well.
Seattle Tech Meetup happens on the third Tuesday of every month beginning February 19th at HUB Seattle. Come to connect with Seattleites who are passionate about startups, building community, co-working spaces, accelerators, non-profits, and what’s next in technology. Join us!
