<p>Also note that I&#8217;m linking to his blog and Twitter account here giving him more exposure right after he linked to me and gave me more exposure.  In the world of influence, you get much more by giving.</p>

<p>I think comments are a lot like graffiti in the social media world. They’re a opportunity to freely “tag” your name and show off your writing in public places around the internet (that can also invite spam and vandalism). A way to put your own name on the map. Many new bloggers approach comments quite casually or unconsciously… without realizing <em>if you get more organized and systematic about leaving comments, you can <strong>build a strong reputation and generate highly-targeted traffic</strong></em> for your own sites and content.</p>
